GLYDE ALIGNED 4.0 WOMEN'S
Premium Performance Open Water Wetsuit
Designed Specifically for Female Swimmers
The GLYDE Aligned 4.0 Women's combines female-specific shaping with a considered balance of flexibility, buoyancy and comfort.
Constructed entirely from GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese limestone neoprene, the Aligned 4.0 Women's pairs flexible upper-body panels with strategically positioned buoyancy through the core and legs.
With 1.5mm arms, shoulders and chest, supportive 4mm waist and leg panels, and flexible 2mm exit calf panels, each section serves a specific purpose.
Whether you're preparing for your first ocean swim, training for a triathlon or working towards a personal best, the Aligned 4.0 Women's is designed to help you find a comfortable rhythm and swim with confidence.
Technology Breakdown
GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese Neoprene
GLYDE Flex 39 is our name for the flexible Japanese limestone neoprene used in this wetsuit, selected to balance comfort, flexibility and buoyancy.
The Aligned 4.0 uses thinner panels where freedom of movement matters most and thicker panels where additional support is needed.
This construction combines a flexible upper-body feel with buoyancy through the waist, core and legs.
FREEARMS™ 1.5mm Shoulder System
Flexible 1.5mm GLYDE Flex 39 neoprene through the shoulders and arms is designed to allow natural movement throughout every phase of your swimming stroke.
The thinner construction helps minimise resistance from the suit as you rotate your shoulders and reach forward, supporting comfort during training and longer swims.
FlexChest™ 1.5mm Breathing Panel
A flexible 1.5mm chest panel works with the women's chest shaping to accommodate chest expansion and natural breathing.
FlexChest™ combines with the thin shoulder and arm panels to create a comfortable upper-body feel without unnecessary bulk.
A correctly fitted suit should allow you to breathe fully and comfortably from the first wear.
CoreLift™ 4mm Balanced Buoyancy System
CoreLift™ combines 4mm neoprene through the waist and core with the flexible 1.5mm chest panel.
This layout places buoyancy around the midsection while maintaining flexibility through the upper body, supporting a balanced swimming position.
The effect on alignment will vary with your natural buoyancy, swimming technique and wetsuit fit.
HydroBalance™ 4mm Leg Lift System
4mm neoprene through the upper and lower legs provides buoyancy to help support the lower body.
For swimmers whose legs tend to drop, HydroBalance™ is designed to help bring them closer to the surface and encourage a more streamlined body position.
The leg panels work with CoreLift™ to provide support from the waist down.
QuickRelease™ 2mm Exit Calf Panels
Flexible 2mm exit calf panels are designed to make the wetsuit easier to remove after your swim.
These thinner sections complement the surrounding 4mm leg panels, providing flexibility where it helps during removal.
Whether you're heading into a triathlon transition or getting changed after training, QuickRelease™ supports a smoother exit from your suit.
GlideGuard™ Single-Layer Neck System
A single-layer neck construction designed to minimise bulk and help reduce rubbing around the neck during training and racing.
A comfortable fit and correct positioning remain important for reducing irritation on longer swims.
ComfortSeal™ Low Profile Neck
The low-profile ComfortSeal™ collar is designed to sit comfortably around the neck and help limit water entry without excessive pressure around the throat.
It complements the flexible chest construction to provide a secure fit while allowing comfortable breathing.
Female-Specific Fit
The Aligned 4.0 Women's features female-specific torso shaping, chest contouring, and hip and waist profiling.
This shaping works with the flexible 1.5mm upper-body panels to accommodate movement while maintaining a close swimming fit.
The 4mm waist, core and leg panels provide buoyancy to support your swimming position, while thinner sections through the shoulders and chest prioritise freedom of movement.
Body shape, technique and natural buoyancy differ between swimmers. The aim is a suit that feels secure, allows comfortable breathing and works with your stroke during both short sessions and longer swims.

Size Guide
GLYDE wetsuits are designed for a performance fit: snug on land, with enough room to breathe comfortably and move naturally.
Neoprene may soften and settle with use, but your wetsuit should fit correctly from the start. Do not rely on stretching to make an excessively tight suit comfortable.

Fit & Care Notes
-
“F” fit options, including WMF and WLF, provide more room through the hips and torso.
-
Choose your size according to your measurements and fit, rather than automatically sizing down for racing.
-
A correctly fitted suit should feel snug, without loose neoprene or large gaps where water can collect.
-
The shoulders and arms should allow comfortable movement, and the chest should allow you to breathe fully.
-
Work the wetsuit gradually up from the ankles, positioning each section before moving higher. Make sure the crotch is seated correctly before adjusting the torso and shoulders.
-
Use small, gentle adjustments with the pads of your fingers. Avoid pulling forcefully on a single area.
-
Keep fingernails, jewellery and sharp objects away from the neoprene. Take particular care with the thin arm, shoulder and chest panels.
-
Fitting gloves can help with handling, but they do not guarantee protection from damage.
-
Pain, numbness or excessive pressure are signs that the fit or positioning needs attention.
-
If you are between sizes, prefer less compression or need an easier suit to put on, contact us for fitting advice.
-
Not sure which size? Contact us—we've fitted thousands of swimmers and are happy to help.
-
Rinse in fresh water after every use.
-
Dry inside out first, then turn the suit to finish drying the outer surface.
-
Always dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight and heat.
The GLYDE Philosophy
The Aligned 4.0 Women's draws on decades of experience in swimming, coaching and wetsuit fitting, with a focus on fit, comfort and movement.
Female-specific shaping is central to that approach, with consideration given to the chest, waist, hips and torso.
Every panel thickness has a purpose: 1.5mm for upper-body flexibility, 4mm for core and leg support, and 2mm through the exit calf panels for easier removal.
Combined with GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese neoprene and a low-profile neck design, these features create a wetsuit built to support your swimming—from regular training sessions to the events you've been working towards.
