The GLYDE Vantage 4.0 Women's has been purpose-built for swimmers who want the body-position support of a performance wetsuit with the freedom and natural feel of a sleeveless design.

Constructed from GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese limestone neoprene with strategically positioned smooth outer panels, the Vantage 4.0 Women's uses carefully targeted buoyancy rather than simply adding maximum lift everywhere.

With 4mm through the body and upper legs and 3mm through the lower legs, buoyancy is placed to support your core, hips and swimming alignment. The women's fit combines this panel layout with shaping through the chest, waist and hips for a comfortable, balanced feel.

A specially designed curved underarm gusset wraps around the upper body to help maintain an effective water seal while allowing the freedom expected from a sleeveless wetsuit.

Technology Breakdown

GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese Neoprene

GLYDE Flex 39 is our name for the flexible Japanese limestone neoprene used in this wetsuit, selected to balance comfort, flexibility and buoyancy.

Different panel thicknesses allow each area of the suit to serve a specific purpose—from flexible 2mm shoulder and underarm sections to supportive 4mm panels through the body and upper legs.

The result is a considered construction designed around swimming movement and comfort.

Smooth Outer Finish

Strategically positioned smooth outer panels create a sleek surface designed for movement through the water.

These panels complement the wetsuit's flexible construction and streamlined fit without adding unnecessary bulk.

Careful handling remains essential. The smooth outer surface can be damaged by fingernails, sharp objects or forceful pulling. Use the pads of your fingers and work the suit into position gradually.

FREEDOM™ Sleeveless Shoulder System

The sleeveless design leaves your arms free to rotate naturally throughout every phase of the swimming stroke.

Flexible 2mm GLYDE Flex 39 neoprene shoulder panels create a comfortable transition around the upper body while maintaining the open feel that makes sleeveless wetsuits so popular.

The result is freedom through the arms and a natural feel through the shoulders.

WrapSeal™ 2mm Underarm Gusset

A specially shaped, curved 2mm GLYDE Flex 39 neoprene underarm gusset wraps around the body to create a close seal beneath the arms.

This design helps limit water entry around the arm openings while maintaining flexibility and freedom of movement.

Correct fit through the upper chest and underarms is important for this system to work effectively.

FemaleBalance™ 4mm Targeted Buoyancy System

More buoyancy is not always better in every area.

The Vantage 4.0 Women's uses 4mm GLYDE Flex 39 neoprene through the body and upper legs, placing buoyancy around the core, hips and thighs.

Combined with the thinner lower-leg panels, this layout is designed to support a balanced swimming position.

Natural buoyancy and body position vary between swimmers. FemaleBalance™ combines a women's fit with targeted panel thicknesses to offer support without relying on maximum thickness throughout the suit.

HydroBalance™ 3mm Lower Leg System

3mm GLYDE Flex 39 neoprene through the lower legs provides insulation and buoyancy with less thickness than the body and upper-leg panels.

HydroBalance™ works with the suit's overall panel layout to support a balanced feel from the hips through to the feet.

GlideGuard™ Single-Layer Neck System

A single-layer neck construction designed to minimise bulk and help reduce rubbing around the neck during training and racing.

A comfortable fit and correct positioning remain important for reducing irritation on longer swims.

ComfortSeal™ Low Profile Neck

The low-profile ComfortSeal™ collar is designed to sit comfortably around the neck and help limit water entry without excessive pressure around the throat.

Female-Specific Fit & Buoyancy

The Vantage 4.0 Women's combines female-specific torso shaping, chest contouring, and hip and waist profiling with carefully positioned buoyancy panels.

Its 4mm body, 4mm upper-leg and 3mm lower-leg construction provides support through the core and hips while using less thickness below the knees.

Because body shape, technique and natural buoyancy differ between swimmers, the aim is a comfortable, balanced fit that works with your swimming position.

The curved WrapSeal™ underarm system means the fit through the upper chest and underarms is intentionally slightly firmer than the GLYDE Aligned 4.0.

This close fit helps form the seal needed around the arm openings of a sleeveless wetsuit while leaving the arms free to move naturally. It should feel secure without causing pain or restricting breathing.

Size Guide

GLYDE wetsuits are designed for a performance fit: snug on land, with enough room to breathe comfortably and move naturally.

Neoprene may soften and settle with use, but a wetsuit should fit correctly from the start. Do not rely on stretching to make an excessively tight suit comfortable.

Fit & Care Notes

• The Vantage 4.0 fits slightly firmer through the chest and underarms than the GLYDE Aligned 4.0 because of the curved WrapSeal™ underarm seal.

• If you fall between two GLYDE sizes, the larger size may offer a more comfortable fit in the Vantage 4.0. Contact us if your height and weight fall into different size ranges.

• “F” fit options, including WMF, WLF and WXLF, provide more room through the hips and torso.

• A correctly fitted suit should feel snug, without loose neoprene or large gaps where water can collect.

• The underarm seal should sit firmly against the body without restricting natural arm movement.

• You should be able to breathe comfortably. Pain, numbness or excessive pressure are signs that the fit or positioning needs attention.

• Wetsuits may soften and mould slightly to the swimmer with use.

• If you prefer less compression or need an easier suit to put on, contact us for sizing advice.

• Take extra care with smooth outer panels. Avoid fingernails, jewellery and sharp objects, and never pull forcefully on a small area of neoprene.

• Fitting gloves can help with handling, but they do not guarantee protection from damage.
