Hire a Glyde wetsuit

Need a wetsuit for an upcoming open-water swim or triathlon? Glyde wetsuits are available to hire through SwimT3 – The Swim Shop in Auckland.

Available in male- and female-specific fits, these swim-focused wetsuits provide warmth, buoyancy and comfortable shoulder movement. They are ideal for first-time open-water swimmers, occasional competitors or anyone wanting to experience a Glyde wetsuit before purchasing one.

Where to arrange your hire

All Glyde wetsuit bookings, fittings, collections and returns are managed by:

SwimT3 – The Swim Shop
66 Mt Eden Road
Auckland

Visit www.swimt3.co.nz to arrange your hire or contact the store for sizing and availability.

Wetsuits must be collected from and returned directly to the Mt Eden store. They cannot be collected from or returned at swimming events.

Security deposit

A NZ$150 security deposit is required for each hire wetsuit. The deposit is refunded after the wetsuit has been returned on time, clean, dry and in the same condition in which it was supplied.

If the wetsuit is returned damaged, dirty, wet, sandy or late, the reasonable cost of repairs, cleaning, drying or additional hire may be deducted from the deposit.

If you decide to purchase a Glyde wetsuit, your deposit may be applied toward your purchase within seven days of returning the hire suit.

Looking after your hire wetsuit

You must watch the fitting video and read the supplied fitting instructions before putting on the wetsuit.

Protective fitting gloves are supplied and must be used whenever the wetsuit is put on, adjusted or removed. Gloves reduce the risk of fingernail damage, but they do not guarantee that damage will not occur.

Fingernail cuts are considered accidental damage. As an example, one small nail nick will incur a NZ$20 repair charge. Larger cuts, multiple marks or other damage will be assessed according to the repairs required.

Only approved wetsuit-safe products may be used. SLIDE Anti-Chafe Balm is available from SwimT3:

Vaseline, petroleum jelly, baby oil and other oil-based products must not be used, as they may damage the neoprene, lining or seams.

Returning your wetsuit

After swimming, rinse the wetsuit thoroughly in clean, cool freshwater and allow it to dry completely in the shade.

The wetsuit must be returned dry inside and outside, with no sand, salt, mud, grass or other material on it. All supplied gloves, bags and accessories must also be returned.

Full wetsuit hire terms and conditions apply.
