GLYDE HORIZON 3.0 MEN'S

Entry-Level Open Water Wetsuit

Flexibility. Comfort. Confidence.

The GLYDE Horizon 3.0 Men's has been purpose-built as your first step into open-water swimming, triathlon and swim events.

Designed with a focus on flexibility, comfort and value, the Horizon brings together carefully selected materials and targeted panel placement at an accessible entry-level price.

Constructed using a combination of GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese limestone neoprene, smooth outer panels and flexible jersey-covered neoprene, the Horizon provides flexibility through high-movement areas and buoyancy through the body and legs.

With 3mm through the main body and legs, a flexible 2mm chest and lightweight 1.5mm arms, the Horizon balances lower-body support with freedom of movement through the upper body.

Bright neon jersey-covered arms help you stand out in the water while giving the suit its distinctive GLYDE look.

Whether you're lining up for your first triathlon or ocean swim event, joining your local weekend swim group or exploring beyond the pool, the Horizon 3.0 is designed to make getting started more comfortable.

Technology Breakdown

GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese Neoprene

GLYDE Flex 39 is our name for the flexible Japanese limestone neoprene used in this wetsuit, selected to balance comfort, flexibility and buoyancy.

The Horizon combines this neoprene with strategically positioned smooth outer panels and flexible neoprene jersey panels.

Each panel has a purpose, from thinner sections through the arms and chest to supportive 3mm construction through the main body and legs.

This targeted approach keeps the focus on swimming comfort and accessible performance.

Smooth Outer Finish & Flexible Jersey Panels

Smooth outer panels create a sleek surface designed for movement through the water.

Flexible jersey-covered neoprene through the arms provides a soft fabric outer that accommodates movement and makes these areas more forgiving to handle during fitting.

Together, these finishes balance swimming performance with everyday practicality.

Smooth outer panels still require careful handling. Avoid fingernails, sharp objects and forceful pulling when putting on or removing your wetsuit.

FLEXARMS™ 1.5mm Arm System

The Horizon's flexible 1.5mm arms are central to its comfortable upper-body feel.

Thinner neoprene through the arms is designed to allow easier movement and natural shoulder rotation throughout your stroke.

For swimmers buying their first wetsuit, that freedom matters. You can focus on finding your rhythm and enjoying your swim.

VISARMS™ High-Visibility Neoprene Jersey

Bright neon jersey-covered arms give the Horizon its distinctive appearance and help make swimmers more noticeable in the water.

The flexible fabric outer also provides a comfortable feel through the arms and is more forgiving to handle than exposed smooth neoprene during fitting.

Visibility varies with conditions. Bright colours complement your usual open-water precautions and do not replace a bright swim cap, tow float or appropriate swim support.

SmoothSeal™ Wrist Cuffs

Smooth-finish neoprene wrist cuffs create a close-fitting seal around the wrists.

The cuffs are designed to help limit water entry into the sleeves while maintaining the flexible feel of the Horizon's 1.5mm arms.

FlexChest™ 2mm Breathing Panel

A flexible 2mm chest panel allows movement through the chest and is designed to reduce the restrictive feeling some swimmers experience in a wetsuit.

The thinner chest construction works with the flexible arms to create a comfortable upper-body fit.

A correctly fitted Horizon should still allow you to breathe fully and comfortably from the first wear.

CoreBalance™ 3mm Body System

3mm neoprene through the main body and core provides insulation and buoyancy to support your swimming position.

CoreBalance™ is designed to offer a balanced feel, helping developing swimmers become comfortable with the additional support of a wetsuit.

The effect on body position will vary with your natural buoyancy, technique and fit.

HydroBalance™ 3mm Leg System

3mm neoprene through the upper and lower legs provides consistent thickness from the hips down.

This construction adds buoyancy to help support the lower body while maintaining flexibility for kicking, entering the water and moving around before and after your swim.

Built for Getting Into Open Water

The Horizon 3.0 has been designed for swimmers who want a comfortable, capable wetsuit at an accessible price.

Whatever brings you to open water, your first wetsuit should help make the experience enjoyable.

  • A 2mm chest panel for comfortable movement through the upper body.

  • Balanced 3mm construction through the main body and legs.

  • Bright neon arm panels for a distinctive, noticeable appearance.

  • Carefully selected Japanese neoprene with panel thicknesses matched to their purpose.

  • An accessible entry-level price to help you get started.

Size Guide

GLYDE wetsuits are designed for a performance fit: snug on land, with enough room to breathe comfortably and move naturally.

Neoprene may soften and settle with use, but your wetsuit should fit correctly from the start. Do not rely on stretching to make an excessively tight suit comfortable.

Use the standard GLYDE Men's Wetsuit Size Guide for the Horizon 3.0.

Fit & Care Notes

  • The Horizon should fit snugly without large loose areas or gaps where water can collect.

  • The flexible 1.5mm arms should allow comfortable shoulder movement.

  • Work the wetsuit gradually up from the ankles, positioning each section before moving higher. Make sure the crotch is seated correctly before adjusting the torso and shoulders.

  • Use small, gentle adjustments with the pads of your fingers. Avoid pulling forcefully on a single area.

  • Take extra care with smooth outer panels and keep fingernails, jewellery and sharp objects away from the neoprene.

  • Fitting gloves can help with handling, but they do not guarantee protection from damage.

  • You should be able to breathe comfortably. Pain, numbness or excessive pressure are signs that the fit or positioning needs attention.

  • If you are between sizes, prefer less compression or need an easier suit to put on, contact us for fitting advice.

  • Rinse thoroughly in fresh water after every swim.

  • Dry inside out first, then turn the suit to finish drying the outer surface.

  • Always dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight and heat.

The GLYDE Philosophy

Entry level shouldn't mean stiff, uncomfortable or cheaply made.

The Horizon 3.0 Men's draws on experience in swimming, coaching and wetsuit fitting to focus on the features that matter when you're getting started.

By combining GLYDE Flex 39 Japanese neoprene, flexible 1.5mm arms, a 2mm chest panel, supportive 3mm body and leg panels, and bright neon jersey-covered arms, the Horizon puts comfort and freedom of movement at the centre of its design.

It's a wetsuit designed for your first event and the regular swims that follow.

Your first wetsuit shouldn't hold you back. It should make you want to swim more.
