Product Description
The blueseventy Helix has already proven itself as a top of the line wetsuit that is an ideal training and racing wetsuit. It is a Neutral Buoyancy wetsuit, meaning that is has even buoyancy throughout the suit, designed especially for swimmers with good body position in the water. The Helix is the most buoyant and flexible suit of the blueseventy range, with buoyancy panels spread throughout the suit delivering a higher overall body position in the water, without altering the ratio between the upper and lower body, allowing for a more efficient and efficient stroke for the stronger swimmer.
New in the Helix 2010/11 are laminated fabric panels on the outside arm of the suit (the orange stripes on the arms). This paper thin material is then over printed with a reinforcing stripe, specifically designed and located to improve function and form through the recovery and reach phase of the swim stroke. The net result of this is a longer, more powerful and efficient stroke. The improved awareness and placement of the arm reduces the risk of over-reaching in the swim stroke thereby reducing the risk of injury, normally created by the over extension and lowering of the elbow during the start of the stretch phase.
The high stretch TST panels remain, mechanically decoupling the arms from the rest of the suit working to float the arm and improve shoulder extension, stroke length, and comfort. The addition of new 1 mm arms and the fabric catch panels gives the Helix the most flexible swim in its class, and gives the swimmer the ability to really “feel the water” – essentially meaning if you can feel the water you can catch and push more effectively and efficiently, with the result being increased speed. Two generations of Helix has delivered the ultimate swimming experience.
An additional feature new to the Helix is the low graded compression that has been built into the legs of the wetsuit. This improves blood flow, better preparing triathletes for the bike leg or swimmers for the final run to the finish line.
Balanced Buoyancy
Balanced buoyancy is about creating a wetsuit that puts your body in the best position to reduce drag and increase swim performance. Just like people need different running shoes designed to work with their biomechanics, at blueseventy we understand that no two swimmers are the same, and therefore require wetsuits that are designed to address their biomechanical individuality.

Enjoy the difference.
Balanced Buoyancy aims to deliver buoyancy where you need it most.
Natural buoyancy wetsuits are designed to accentuate good body position. If you naturally have a good horizontal streamlined position with raised hips and good leg alignment, then your wetsuit should have a high overall buoyancy throughout the suit, lifting your entire body higher in the water and reducing your drag profile.
